accent color for kitchen

looking for accent color for kitchen. thinking a shade of teal to draw from the family room. found this on a ben moore FB page. I like the danville or jute as wall color and azure for curtains, placemats, etc.

Deep teal is a great accent for faded shades of turquoise. Image found @ House of Turquoise. Design by Amy Meier.

reminder...

"Likewise, we will never feel better about ourselves by feeling worse about others."
"God's kindness leads you toward repentance." (Romans 2:4b)  Kindness.  Not anger, not contempt, just kindness.

Beautiful day in the neighborhood

Gorgeous day. Sunny, 70 ish. Started the day with early morning yoga. Still nursing the PF, trying to ward off inflamation with ice.
Listening to colleague talk of the purification/cleanse she's doing, now on day 12. I know I couldn't do completely but might consider partial. Need to stay away from sugar and other toxins. Pump up the water, avoid dairy, nuts, alcohol. Goal of reducing bloating and interupted sleep.

60 +1

Kind of glad the big birthday is over. Hard to focus on celebrating. Warm and humid day. Worked,  early morning yoga, dinner with Glen.  Hoping to post daily for the next year.  Will settle on some things to tick off the bucket list.  Mammogram done. Tonight celebrating with NEF at the Boat House in Hartford. Health, activity, growth, wisdom.
Post event: motivated by the young man who was shot in the back and now partially paralyzed. What a bright disposition. Be thankful, and really get to know the people you spend your days with.

Storm Ella, and Denis, and Clare, and Benedict, and Adrianne

Today, Wednesday, February 2, 2011,  was the second day of Storm Ella. Ice. Yesterday was the snow. I think we're up to 75" this month. I've been out of the office 3 days this month along with a few shortened days, because of snow. Crazy. Glen had to pick at the driveway today to chip away the sheet of ice. And word has it another storm is on it's way for Saturday.  Somehow we've managed to plan things that landed on good days. UConn vs Duke on Monday, dinner plans with friends and last Friday we went to The Kate in Old Saybrook to hear Jonathan Edwards. Awesome concert. Zabrockys, MacDonalds, Eng/Bowens met there and enjoyed a drink at Penny Lane afterwards. Nice night.

Joined the gym just in time.  Already logged four days there and with the forecast as it is I think I'll spend lots of time there. Started 10k training and am staying on track. Week 2 in progress and hope to get to the treadmill tomorrow morning to log W2D3, 3 mile easy run.

And I completed part II of my first ever batch of Limoncello.  Have to get out to look for pretty bottles to use for storing the brew.  I saved a store bought Limoncello bottle - frosted. Hope to find some like it.

Dinner with Gaye and Roger Whitham tomorrow night.
